Busy Fingers is the name given to a generous and
committed group of women from First Church who use
their talents in sewing, knitting, quilting, etc. to
share the Good News of Jesus to our community and to
the world.
Busy Fingers meets on the third
Tuesday of each month from 9 am to 11:30 am for
fellowship, planning and the work they do together.
The group makes quilts and stuffed for the Lake
County Sheriff's Department, which uses both items
when they are forced to remove children from a home or
a dangerous situation. Busy Fingers, working in
conjunction with
The Haven also makes
receiving blankets for newborn infants. The group
also partners with Cornerstone Hospice to make bibs,
gowns and pillows for patients, and creates lap robes
for many of our local assisted living facilities.
Busy Fingers members have also knit sweaters as part
of the
Guideposts Knit for Kids
program.
