The Memorial Garden
at the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis has been
set aside as a place of celebration of life with God.
It is meant to be a place of rest, meditation and
prayer.
Interment of
Cremains
The Memorial Garden is available for the interment
of cremains for members of the First Presbyterian
Church or an immediate family member. The cremains
will be placed in an approved biodegradable container,
or if preferable, cremains may be scattered. The
place of interment shall follow a plot adopted by the
Garden Committee and on file in the Church office.
The name of each person with the year of birth and
death will be permanently recorded on a plaque in the
Garden and also on file in the Church office. The
planting, arranging and maintenance of the Garden
shall at all times be under the supervision of the
Garden Committee, and subject to final approval of the
Session. No flags, flowers or wreaths will be
permitted in the Garden unless pertinent to a memorial
service.
Method of
Application
Arrangements for the interment of cremains may be
made by filling out and signing the
downloadable application. This application will be
filed with the Church office and will become a part a
permanent file. A copy of this application will be
kept by the applicant or his or her designee and those
authorized to carry out your wishes upon death. Upon
mutual agreement of the applicant and the Garden
Committee, should circumstances prevail, this
application may be voided.
Garden Donations
Contributions are always welcome for additions and
improvements to the Garden, subject to approval of the
Session of First Presbyterian Church. When persons
request a plot in the Garden, donations may be put in
a Garden Fund. These donations cover interment,
plaque and perpetual care of the Garden area, and do
not cover any other donations relative to a memorial
service.
