At First Church we believe that “The Church” is more than a building---it’s a people.  Church isn’t someplace that you go---it’s who you are, and who you are called by God to be.  Below you can find just some of the ways to connect with the ministry and mission of First Church.  Read through these items (which are only a few of the many ways you can get involved at First Church) and then feel free to fill out our online volunteer form located at the bottom of the page.

Visitation
Elder care visitation; hospital visitation; church visitors, homebound

Food Ministry
Donate food; help with food distribution; help coordinate efforts to stamp out hunger

Children & Youth
Children’s ministry volunteer, Sunday school teacher, children’s church, youth ministry volunteer

At-Risk Children/Youth
Crossfire volunteer (outreach or at-risk kids); volunteer to tutor children from Eustis Elementary

Community Outreach
Volunteer with Busy Fingers (making blankets, soft toys, quilts); volunteer for Cornerstone Hospice; volunteer to help Habitat for Humanity; volunteer to help coordinate our Any Soldier project

Church Office
Volunteer to work in the office; assist in production of newsletters/documents

Buildings & Grounds
Landscaping; basic maintenance, cleaning

Bus Ministry
Transporting the elderly to church; transporting youth and children to and from outreach programs, transporting older adults to events.

Center Street Kitchen
This is the newest mission opportunity at FPC-Eustis.  The Center Street Kitchen will be staffed by caring and loving volunteers inspired by the Gospel mandate to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, and welcome the stranger.   We will be a shared ministry,  an ecumenical effort by Christian churches in the Golden Triangle Area.  We will provide healthy and appetizing meals to all who come to us---to the poor, the hungry, and the lonely.  We will also deliver these same meals to area shut-ins and others unable to visit the soup kitchen.  The Center Street Kitchen will serve a free hot meal to our walk-in guests on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  To volunteer or learn more about the Center Street Kitchen click here.
