Having spent his teenage years at FPCE before heading off to college, Paul Smithson returned to the church in 2018 and soon became a member of Brass Plus. He began his teaching career at UCF in Orlando before moving to California and teaching in the CSU system. Returning to Florida, he now teaches Advanced Placement classes at his alma mater, Eustis High School. Paul has been working closely with teenagers and young adults for 22 years, and looks forward to participating in helping move the church’s youth group forward. His inspiration for accepting this challenge is influenced by his experiences with his early youth group leaders, David and Syl Porter.
