Church, know that allowing our emotions to control us is not what Jesus would want for us. Know that denying or vilifying our emotions is not Christ-like, either. For many, disobedience, rivalry, irresponsibility, anger, poor self-control, and lack of faith catches us off guard. For others, it is business as usual... the law of the land. So what do we do? We go to Jesus has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
(Key Verse for the Series! - 2 Timothy 1:7)
We invite you and your family to join us in our new Sunday Sermon series, which begins on September 4th... Where we plan to consider and explore (in light of the scripture) what disobedience, rivalry, irresponsibility, anger, poor self-control, and lack of faith mean... and how to gain control over them. As always, these sermons will be Bible-based, practical lessons that will bless your life and improve your family, work, and neighbor base relationships.
We are seeking to explore these "Triggers...." these feelings in light of the love of God so that "They" (disobedience, rivalry, irresponsibility, anger, poor self-control, and lack of faith) lose the grip they have on us.
So, whether you realize you are struggling or just began to consider it, know there is a better way, and we can find that "better way" together because we are children of God. Let us be of good courage and know that we are loved.
