Dear Members of First Presbyterian Church of Eustis,
It is with mixed emotions that we announce Shannon Walter’s decision to step down from her role as Director of our SPLASH Children’s Ministry, effective July 31st, 2025. Shannon has been an integral part of our church family for over a decade, dedicating herself to nurturing the faith of our children and guiding them in their spiritual growth.
During her tenure, Shannon’s leadership has been instrumental in connecting our children to the teachings of our faith, particularly during the challenges posed by COVID-19. Her passion for education and her commitment to creating a loving and supportive environment have been evident. Beyond her role in SPLASH, Shannon also generously contributed to various other areas of our church, going above and beyond her official duties to support our community.
We celebrate Shannon’s many accomplishments and the profound impact she has had on the lives of our children and families. Her dedication, warmth, and leadership have left an indelible mark on our congregation.
Although Shannon will be transitioning away from her staff role, she remains a cherished member of our church family with plans to join us for worship and other church events as able.
We look forward to continuing to worship and grow together with Shannon in our midst.
The Personnel Committee will be promptly meeting to coordinate an exit strategy and will
provide further updates to the congregation. In the meantime, we invite you to join us in
celebrating Shannon’s contributions during worship and other aspects of our Church.
Please join us in thanking Shannon for her years of service and in praying for her as she embarks on this new chapter in her career.
Count it all joy,
Rev. Mario Bolivar
Pastor and Head of Staff
First Presbyterian Church of Eustis
