Update In The Session

We want to inform you that Paul Smithson has stepped down from his role as a Ruling Elder on the Church’s Session, effective immediately, so that he can focus on other aspects of his leadership at the church, especially in the realm of music and worship. While Paul will no longer serve in his capacity as Ruling Elder, he will continue to serve in many other areas of the church. We are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and gifts he has shared in service to our church through the Session and all the other teams where he serves. Let us give thanks to God for the ways Paul has contributed to our community, and continue to lift him in prayer as he faithfully leads in music and worship—and as he takes on new roles within our church.

The Session is also pleased to welcome Alesandra Saunders as Ruling Elder alternate. Alessandra brings over a decade of experience serving as Clerk of the Session and will now serve as both a stated clerk and voting member. She was chosen and ordained as an elder and is already installed as an alternate, allowing us to maintain quorum and continue the work of the Session faithfully. We are thankful for her willingness to serve in this expanded role.
