As we conclude our Mid-year Annual campaign, "The Welcome Campaign," I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to each of you. Between the months of May and June, we received a total of $36,983 in donations. Though our goal was set at $80,000, we do not view this outcome with sadness or disappointment. Instead, we are deeply thankful because your generosity continues to shine brightly, even in these times of economic and political uncertainty.
Our vision as a congregation of Christian faith remains steadfast: "To reflect and reveal the unselfish love of Christ in all that we do." This mission guides us, especially as we consider one of the Great Ends of the Church: to shelter, nurture, and provide for the spiritual fellowship of the Children of God. This includes welcoming strangers, as Hebrews 13:2 reminds us to do, echoing the example of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 18:1-8.
The Session, along with the Property and Mission Committees, will now take the funds you have graciously donated and put them to work. We trust that just as God multiplied the fish and loaves of bread, God will multiply these resources for His work among us. Stay tuned as we look forward to sharing how God will use your love to make a meaningful impact in our community and beyond.
Thank you once again for your generosity and faithfulness. Let us continue to reflect Christ's love in all that we do.
Blessings to each of you, Pastor Mario
