It is with heavy hearts and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ that we share the news of the death of our beloved, Linda Jane Gifford, who went to be with the Lord peacefully on January 12, 2025, at the age of 78.

We invite you to join us for a Celebration of Life service to honor Linda's remarkable life and legacy on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis.

This worship will be streamed LIVE on our Church Website

Linda was born on November 23, 1946, in Albany, New York, to the late Frank K. and Doris M. Hazelton. She graduated from Columbia High School in East Greenbush, NY, and pursued higher education at Ulster County Community College, earning an Associate of Science in Business Administration and Nursing. Linda later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from National Louis University and achieved certifications as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP).

Throughout her life, Linda dedicated herself to caring for others, first as an administrative professional and later as a nurse specializing in oncology and dementia care. Her compassion and commitment touched countless lives.

Linda's heart for service extended to her church family here at First Presbyterian Church of Eustis. She was actively involved in our community, volunteering in the church office, greeting worshipers on Sunday mornings, and participating in Bible studies and the Special Events Reception Committee. Her joyful spirit and servant's heart inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda’s favorite saying was, “I really love being here!” and her actions exemplified that love daily. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Linda has been with her loving husband, Will R. Gifford, for 36 years. Together, they raised four children: Brian Gifford of Lincolnton, NC, Tim Gifford of Stanfordville, NY, Sidra Gifford of the Netherlands, and Grace Von Moritz (Craig Morrison) of Kinderhook, NY. She was also a proud grandmother to Oskar Golwala, Isla Gifford, Leo Von Moritz, and Charlotte Von Moritz.

She is survived by her siblings, Wayne K. Hazelton (Debra) of Greenville, NY, Frank K. Hazelton (Kim) of Auberry, CA, Jill M. Simoncic (John) of Waterford, NY, and Betty L. Schrom (Keith) of Clifton Park, NY.

Please keep Linda’s family and loved ones in your prayers during this time of loss. May we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of our Savior.

Count it all joy,

Rev. Mario Bolivar, Pastor.
