It’s not about me…it’s about WE!!

This essay is about worshiping together. Remember Matthew 18:20 where Jesus states: “If two or more are gathered in my name, I am there with them.” WOW! Yesterday we celebrated Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came down after Christ’s resurrection with a Mighty Wind and put tongues of fire on the group of leaders and 3000 were baptized! Hey, if Jesus is going to be there, don’t you want to be there too?

We are ending the pandemic and church attendance is trending up, but many of us have just gotten ourselves out of the habit of attending Sunday Morning Worship services.

Do we really like to see the service online in our PJ’s or sweat pants? We can do so much more by gathering for worship together. And the music is better too. And, how about encouraging each other?

A small group of us are beginning the study of Hebrews on Tuesday mornings at 7 AM. You may join in by Zoom or on FaceBook. In chapter 10:23-25, the author exhorts: “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another….”

It is time to come back to church folks. We all need the fellowship of believers and we can do so much more together.
